From July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2027, citizens of Japan and the Republic of Korea holding ordinary passports will be able to visit Azerbaijan for tourism purposes without a visa.

The abolition of the visa requirement is aimed at simplifying travel for citizens, strengthening cooperation between the countries, and developing tourism.

According to the new rules, during the specified period, citizens of these countries will be able to enter Azerbaijan three times without a visa, with each stay not exceeding 30 days.

Citizens of the listed countries arriving in Azerbaijan for non-tourism purposes or planning a long stay must obtain the appropriate visa in accordance with the legislation.
