Miracle under the ruins: in Venezuela a two-year-old child was saved after six days - VIDEO

In Venezuela, after the earthquake, rescuers saved two-year-old boy Klaiber Moran, who spent six days under the rubble.

His aunt Andreina Sarmiento told BBC News that the child's health is not in danger. "He only has a few scratches on his arms and legs, but nothing more," she noted.

Klaiber Moran was found under the rubble of his house in the state of La Guaira on the Caribbean coast of Venezuela. It was previously reported that this area was the hardest hit by the earthquake.

According to Sarmiento, the child was rescued only on the second attempt. Initially, rescuers from the United Kingdom tried to reach him, but they were unsuccessful. Later, a team from Jordan pulled Klaiber out from under the rubble.

Sarmiento promised to care for her nephew "with maternal warmth" until her older sister is found. The boy's 23-year-old aunt still hopes that Klaiber's parents are still alive.
