According to the information, on July 11, 64 arriving and 71 departing flights did not take off. These were mainly flights between Hong Kong and the cities of Taipei, Kaohsiung and Shanghai, as well as to Osaka, Tokyo and Nagoya. The resumption of air service will depend on the weather in these cities.
In addition, on July 11, 10 high-speed train services connecting Hong Kong with Shanghai, Fuzhou and Guangzhou were canceled. Eight more high-speed train services scheduled for July 12 were also canceled.
It is noted that the powerful typhoon Bavi, bringing heavy rains and winds up to 50 m/s, hit southern Japan and Taiwan yesterday and also affected mainland China.
