In Northern Ireland, after the knife attack incident that occurred on June 8, people took to the streets.

Riots broke out in Belfast, with houses, cars, and a bus set on fire, according to BBC. On the evening of June 9, emergency services helped people evacuate from burning houses. According to the fire service, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, 256 calls were received, and firefighters responded to 62 incidents.

In Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, on June 8 at 10:30 p.m., a 30-year-old Sudanese citizen stabbed a 40-year-old man, causing him serious injuries to the eyes, neck, and back. The attacker has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a sharp stabbing and cutting object in a public place, and threats to kill.

The police called for calm after demonstrations and riots broke out in various places in Northern Ireland on June 9 in response to the attack.
