Anti-corruption committee finds no crime in activities of Anna Hakobyan's foundation
The anti-corruption committee has found no crime in the activities of the "My Step" foundation of the wife of the Armenian prime minister.
This was announced by committee head Artur Naapetyan in a conversation with media representatives.
Answering a question about the results of the study of the foundation's activities, Naapetyan stated that no crime had been found.
When asked whether this was related to the fact that the foundation is associated with the prime minister's family, the committee head retorted that "that is your assessment." There are no legal grounds for criminal proceedings, Naapetyan repeated. According to him, even if some connection is mentioned, the situation involving a violation of the ban on charity during the pre-election period does not fall within the functions of the anti-corruption committee.
It should be recalled that earlier the head of the "Union of Informed Citizens" NGO Daniel Ioannisyan stated that "Independent Observer" had filed a lawsuit demanding that the prime minister's wife and head of the foundation Anna Hakobyan be held accountable for 15 different incidents related to the activities of the "My Step" foundation during the pre-election period.
