Tehran stated that continuation of negotiations will be considered in light of recent events
Official Tehran will consider the continuation of negotiations taking into account the latest events, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said.
Commenting on the progress of negotiations to end the war between Iran and the United States, Baghaei said: “We must assess the current situation in light of the events of last night. The diplomatic process does not take place in a vacuum, and for it to advance, at least a stable environment is needed so that work can continue.”
According to him, diplomatic efforts in relations with the US cannot move forward due to repeated violations of the ceasefire regime: “Diplomacy and military actions are not separate phenomena; together they are tools for protecting Iran's national interests and security.”
“Wherever necessary, our armed forces respond to the enemy with determination. The events of last night showed that the Iranian Armed Forces do not hesitate in defending the country. In the field of diplomacy, all government structures are also fully coordinated.”
