Ambassador: most important direction of Azerbaijan's assistance is medical and psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian children
The Azerbaijani state provided assistance to Ukrainian children who displayed heroism during the war.
As AZERTAJ reports, the event held on the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine under the slogan “Children-heroes” was attended by Minister of Internal Affairs of this country Igor Klimenko, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev, head of the representation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan in Ukraine Colonel of Police Shahin Godzhayev and representatives of SOCAR in this country.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko noted in his speech that heroism has no age: “We are proud of you. Your heroism testifies that the Ukrainian people have a bright future. Our state will develop even more with such heroic children as you.”
Expressing satisfaction with participation in the ceremony of awarding Ukrainian children-heroes, Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev stated that from the first days of the war Azerbaijan began to provide humanitarian assistance to the friendly people of Ukraine and has consistently expanded it. Azerbaijan assists Ukraine in projects on reconstruction, demining and energy.
“However, one of the most important directions of our assistance is medical and psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian children in Azerbaijan. 630 Ukrainian children deprived of parental care have already received high-quality rehabilitation services fully funded by our government. In this area there is intensive cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of Azerbaijan and Ukraine,” the ambassador added.
Then Igor Klimenko in a conversation with Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the support provided in difficult days.
At the conclusion of the event, children who showed heroism were awarded and presented with gifts on behalf of the Azerbaijani state.
