Macron called Ilham Aliyev and confirmed support for Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process

President of France Emmanuel Macron reported on his telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani colleague Ilham Aliyev.

«I had a conversation with President Ilham Aliyev. I recalled the support from France for the dynamics of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the importance of this process continuing to move forward», - wrote Macron on his page on the social network X.

He added that he also discussed regional issues and the potential for developing Franco-Azerbaijani bilateral relations with the Azerbaijani leader.
