Security forces in Armenia conduct searches in office of opposition figure accused of treason
Armenian security forces conducted searches in the office of opposition figure and Prosperous Armenia party candidate for deputy Andranik Tevanyan, who had previously been charged with treason.
According to video footage published by the 24news portal, employees of Armenia's National Security Service wearing masks, together with investigators, entered Tevanyan's office at 07:00 local time to carry out the searches.
Armenia's Investigative Committee reported on May 21 that a criminal case had been opened in which Tevanyan is charged with treason and espionage.
