Trump states that Iran's enriched uranium reserves will be destroyed

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran's enriched uranium reserves will either be taken to the United States for subsequent destruction or eliminated directly on the territory of the Islamic republic or in another agreed location.

The American leader wrote about this on May 25 in the Truth Social social network.

According to Trump, the "enriched uranium (nuclear dust!)" will either be "immediately transferred to the U.S. for removal and destruction," or destroyed on site or in another suitable location in cooperation and agreement with the Iranian side.

The U.S. president also noted that he supports the participation of a relevant international organization as an observer in the implementation of such measures.

Earlier, speaking at Arlington National Cemetery during events dedicated to Memorial Day for American servicemen who died in various conflicts, Trump expressed confidence that Iran will never receive nuclear weapons.

The Iranian authorities, in turn, have repeatedly stated that they do not seek to create nuclear weapons.
