The CIS cannot leave without attention Yerevan's position, which announced plans for European integration, and the EU summit on Ukraine that took place in Armenia.
CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev stated this.
“At the same time, Armenia remains a member of the CIS, CSTO, EAEU and enjoys the benefits of this membership,” he said during a round table on the topic “35 years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: results, tasks, prospects.”
According to Lebedev, the CIS today is a deeply integrated association capable of combining the common interests and national priorities of the participating states. Therefore, it is necessary to fully utilize the enormous integration potential of the Commonwealth, the secretary general added.
