Azerbaijani table tennis player enters Guinness Book of Records

Table tennis player Nihad Mamedov has entered his name in the Guinness Book of Records.

AZERTAJ was informed by the Table Tennis Federation of Azerbaijan that an official confirmation document was sent from the relevant structure in this regard.

Recall that in April of this year at an event organized at the Shua sports complex, the national team member attempted to update the recorded world record for introducing the ball into play from a long distance. Under the control of officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Table Tennis Federation, and international category referee Zaur Mikailov, he successfully performed a serve from a distance of 18.2 meters.

Note that this record (17.5) until recently belonged to the Turk Osman Gurju.
