Iraq reports loss of contact with two ships in Persian Gulf
Contact has been lost with two vessels flying the Bolivian flag located in the Persian Gulf zone, however specialized services of Iraqi seaports have not received any distress signals from them.
The General Company of Iraqi Seaports reported this.
"The maritime administration and special search and rescue centers in Iraqi territorial waters have not received any messages or distress signals from the two vessels flying the Bolivian flag, and they have not entered Iraqi territorial waters," the company's special statement indicates, which was reported by the INA agency. The company explained that it received "letters from security authorities of several ports in the Persian Gulf zone, as well as from the owners of the two vessels requesting any information, as contact with them had been lost."
The Iraqi company added that it "does not have information about the location of the indicated vessels," but "will continue monitoring operations in coordination with search and rescue services of countries in the region."
