US reports completion of strikes on Iran
US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported the completion of strikes on Iran in response to the incident with the downed Apache helicopter.
"CENTCOM forces have completed [the delivery of] strikes for self-defense purposes on Iran by order of the supreme commander in response to the US Army Apache helicopter shot down yesterday," the command's post on X reads.
The targets of the strikes by US forces were radars, air defense systems and ground control points of Iran near the Strait of Hormuz, CENTCOM added.
"CENTCOM forces struck Iranian air defenses, ground control points, as well as radar posts near the Strait of Hormuz," the command reported.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes were carried out "with high-precision munitions used by US Air Force and Navy fighters."
On Tuesday, US Central Command reported that US forces had begun striking Iran in response to the attack on the Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz
