Distribution of positions begins in Pashinyan's party
Distribution of positions in the parliament of the new convocation has begun in the Civil Contract party, writes “Graparak”.
According to the publication, the head of the party apparatus, Arusyak Manavazyan, is a candidate for the post of head of the parliamentary faction. The newspaper notes that she oversees the party’s financial issues and is considered the “ears and eyes,” that is, one of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s most trusted persons.
At the same time, there is talk in the corridors that the prime minister himself wants to see former ambassador Lilit Makunts in the post of head of the faction. The latter was initially considered as a candidate for the post of speaker of parliament, but as the newspaper notes, Ruben Rubinyan will receive this position. The ruling team is confident that the choice in favor of Rubinyan is connected exclusively with an external factor, taking into account primarily his work as a special representative in negotiations with Turkey.
Also within the “CC,” the possibility of removing Andranik Kocharyan from the post of head of the defense commission and appointing his current deputy Armen Khachatryan is being discussed.
