Israel told US about possible assassination attempt on Trump
Israel shared with the US intelligence data indicating Iranian plans to assassinate American leader Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal reports citing informed sources.
Trump stated on Thursday that the probability of his death in office is 5.2%. According to the American leader, he is "target number one" for Iran. Against this background, as the American leader told the Axios portal, Netanyahu asked to meet with him at the White House.
"Israel provided the US with new intelligence data, which, it is claimed, indicates a fresh Iranian plan to kill President Trump," the publication writes.
The material notes that the Israeli diplomatic mission in the US did not provide comments. Iran's mission to the UN did not comment on the WSJ request either.
