Turkey will not participate in the creation of the NATO bank DSRB

Turkey will not participate for now in the initiative to create the Bank for Defense, Security and Resilience (Defense, Security and Resilience Bank, DSRB), which a number of NATO member countries decided to establish at the alliance summit held on July 7-8 in Ankara.

This was reported by CNN Türk.

According to its data, this decision was made based on strategic and technical assessments conducted by the relevant departments of the republic. Turkish authorities have not yet commented on this information.

Earlier it was reported that along with Turkey, Albania, Belgium, Greece, Canada, Latvia, Luxembourg, Romania and Ukraine announced their readiness to participate in the establishment of DSRB. The headquarters of the financial consortium will be located in Montreal, the purpose of its creation is to attract up to $134 billion to finance military projects related to Ukraine.
