Trump: US may control Hormuz, and compensation is needed for that

American President Donald Trump claims that the United States may in the future exercise control over the Strait of Hormuz and Washington needs compensation for this.

“We will keep the [Hormuz] Strait for ourselves. And we will probably manage it. We will become the guardian of the strait. Perhaps we will be called the guardian angel of the strait. And we should be provided compensation for this,” he said in a live broadcast on the Fox News television company, without detailing his statements.
