Public television of Armenia subjected to large-scale cyberattack

The on-air and digital infrastructure of Public Television of Armenia (PTA) was subjected to a large-scale cyberattack in recent days, News.am reports.

«The goal of the attack was to interfere with the broadcast of events of the European Political Community, after which attempts were also made to disrupt the normal broadcasting of Public Television of Armenia channels,» the PTA statement said.

It notes that thanks to prompt and technical measures taken by specialists, it was possible to prevent failures, and the attack attempts did not have a significant impact.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident, the PTA reported.
