Russia continues to exert pressure on Armenia

Rosselkhoznadzor is recording problems with supplies from Armenia not only for flowers, but also for vegetables and fruits, said the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert on the air of Vesti.

"The issue is that we have problems not only with flowers, we also have them with vegetables and fruits," said Dankvert, Sputnik Armenia reports.

It was previously reported that Rosselkhoznadzor will temporarily restrict imports of flower products from Armenia starting May 22, until the inspection of greenhouse farms is completed and the analysis of its results is finished. Later, Economy Minister Gevork Papoyan told journalists that the situation is generally manageable, and work is underway with Russian partners.

The day before, the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia announced the start of joint inspections with the Russian side. The inspections are planned to be conducted within the next week at 8 enterprises producing plant products and in 4 fish farms.
