On 25 May 2026, the Karabakh Revival Fund (KRF) and the Office of the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts jointly organised a business meeting dedicated to the investment potential of the region.

The event, held within the framework of the "Friends of the Karabakh Revival Fund" platform, brought together state officials, the Fund's donors and partners, and senior executives and representatives of leading national companies.

Titled "Investment Potential and Business Opportunities in Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan Districts," the meeting was designed to give investors a detailed view of the region's socio-economic landscape and the investment opportunities emerging across priority sectors.

Discussions focused on attracting domestic capital to the region, strengthening public-private sector dialogue, and showcasing the principal drivers of the region's economic development.

The event opened with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of the country.

In his address, Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, emphasised that the large-scale reconstruction and revival works in the liberated territories are advancing rapidly under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, following the historic victory of the Patriotic War. Noting that Azerbaijan is delivering these vast projects entirely through its own resources, the Chairman highlighted the significant role of domestic companies in the reconstruction process.

Briefing participants on the Fund's activities, Rahman Hajiyev also noted that the Fund had been included in the 2025 list of the country's 100 largest taxpayers.

Closing his remarks, he thanked donors and partners for their continued support, underscoring that every contribution directly serves the revival of Karabakh.

Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, observed in his address that realising the economic potential of the liberated territories is decisive for the region's rapid revival.

The large-scale infrastructure projects currently underway, together with the favourable business environment being established, are opening broad opportunities for entrepreneurs.

The Special Representative also highlighted the strategic significance of the region's emerging logistics capabilities, particularly the Zangezur Corridor and the new transport hubs under construction, for providing access to both domestic and international markets. He invited the business community to join this historic mission of reconstruction and to take advantage of the opportunities now on offer.

The addresses were followed by video presentations on the reconstruction projects underway in Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan, and on "The Revival of Karabakh: The Story of Azerbaijan's Renaissance" - an innovative book commissioned by the Karabakh Revival Fund and authored by the distinguished British writer Graeme Wilson.

Officials from the Office of the Special Representative then delivered detailed presentations covering general investment opportunities, state support mechanisms and incentives, the prospects of the construction sector, the potential of agricultural projects, the creation of a new ecological model in the three districts, and the region's tourism potential.

The presentations were followed by a question-and-answer session and an open discussion, during which participants exchanged views on the role of companies in the reconstruction and revival of Jabrayil, Gubadli, Zangilan, and the wider Karabakh region, and considered the proposals put forward.

Looking ahead, further meetings within the framework of the "Friends of the Karabakh Revival Fund" platform are planned, focused on the investment potential of other liberated districts. As a continuation of these meetings, business visits to the region will also be organised, giving investors the opportunity to see the reconstruction work and investment opportunities in Karabakh and East Zangezur first-hand.

The event also featured a special exhibition by students of the UNEC Design School, operating under the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, devoted to the reconstruction and revival works being carried out in the liberated territories. The projects on display drew considerable interest from participants.
