Azerbaijani border guards prevent attempt to smuggle 20 kg of drugs from Iran

An attempt to smuggle a large batch of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan has been prevented.

As reported by the State Border Service, during search and operational measures on the territory of the "Goradiz" border detachment, 20 kg 615 g of marijuana and 470 tablets of the psychotropic drug methadone M-40 were discovered and seized.

Operational and investigative measures are ongoing regarding this fact.
