Andoni Iraola to become new Liverpool head coach

Liverpool has reached an agreement in principle with Andoni Iraola to appoint the specialist as the club's head coach.

Negotiations have advanced significantly over the past 48 hours, and the deal has been concluded. The signing will be announced soon.

On May 30, Liverpool announced the departure of head coach Arne Slot.

The 43-year-old specialist's last club was Bournemouth, which he left at the end of the current season. Under Iraola's leadership, the Cherries earned 57 points and finished sixth in the English Premier League table. Liverpool with 60 points took fifth place. The Spaniard has been in charge of Bournemouth since the summer of 2023.
