Fitch: Azerbaijan's economy to grow by 2% in 2026
International rating agency Fitch Ratings forecasts 2% growth in Azerbaijan's economy in 2026.
As APA-Economics reports, the agency expects that after the economic growth indicators of 2025, the pace of real GDP growth this year will accelerate somewhat.
According to Fitch, the impact of rising energy prices will be balanced by cautious fiscal policy and moderate growth in lending.
The agency noted that the structural decline in oil production remains one of the key challenges for economic growth in the medium term.
Fitch also forecasts that average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in 2026 will rise to 6.1%. According to the agency, additional pressure on inflation will come from rising logistics costs, food prices, and regulated tariffs.
