Thief who stole $5 thousand from restaurant cabinet detained in Baku

A robbery occurred in the Narimanov district of the capital, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported.

It is noted that the victim contacted the police and stated that $5,000 in cash was stolen from the pocket of his jacket under unknown circumstances.

During operations conducted by police officers, the suspect in the crime, previously convicted 35-year-old I. Suleymanov, was detained. During the investigation, it was revealed that he stole the money from the pocket of the victim's jacket, which he had hung in a cabinet in one of the restaurants.

An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
