Traffic police appeal to drivers and pedestrians due to bad weather
The Main Directorate of the State Road Police (GUGDP) has appealed to road traffic participants in connection with unstable weather conditions.
The message states that the rain observed in Baku and the regions of the republic, as well as drizzle, significantly limit visibility and greatly increase the risk of traffic accidents. Taking into account the traditional increase in traffic on intercity highways on weekends, the department calls on drivers of personal vehicles and those engaged in passenger transportation to be extremely attentive on the road.
Car owners are strongly recommended to strictly control the speed limit, exercise maximum caution when overtaking and maneuvering, and categorically refuse trips in technically faulty vehicles.
According to forecasters, rainy weather will last until June 28, which creates unfavorable conditions not only for cars, but also for the movement of mopeds and motorcycles.
The traffic police also calls on pedestrians to be vigilant when crossing the roadway and avoid actions that could pose a threat to their life and health or provoke an emergency situation on the roads
