14 killed in Saudi Aramco helicopter crash in Saudi Arabia

At least 14 people were killed as a result of the crash of a helicopter belonging to the Saudi state oil company Saudi Aramco in the city of Ras Tanura in the east of the kingdom.

The Saudi Press Agency reported this, citing a source in the Ministry of Energy.

"On Sunday, a Saudi Aramco helicopter crashed in Ras Tanura. As a result of the incident, all 14 people on board were killed, all of them Saudi Arabian nationals," the source said.

According to him, the competent authorities have launched an investigation to determine the causes of the air crash.

The city of Ras Tanura, located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, is home to the Saudi Aramco oil refinery complex, as well as the world's largest offshore oil loading terminal.
