Peskov confirms discussion with other countries on possible import of petroleum products
Russia is maintaining contacts with other countries regarding the possible import of petroleum products, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"For obvious reasons, we will not talk about this. Contacts are being maintained," he replied to the question about which countries the import of petroleum products could be established from.
"If agreements are reached at acceptable prices, then this will happen. This will be another step toward stabilizing the market, aimed at curbing this heightened demand," the Kremlin representative noted.
He noted that Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak is handling the fuel market situation "manually" on a daily basis and referred the question of whether the government is considering lowering the standard of produced fuel to "Euro-2" to Novak's office.
