CENTCOM: US completes another wave of strikes on Iran

American armed forces carried out another series of strikes on Iran overnight into Wednesday, the US Armed Forces Central Command (CENTCOM) reported.

"US Central Command has completed another round of strikes on Iran, hitting dozens of military targets on the Iranian coast of the Strait of Hormuz," the statement said.

It noted that the strikes also hit Iranian missile bases and drone bases.

"During a seven-hour wave of strikes, US fighters, drones and Navy ships launched precision munitions at Iranian missile bases and drone bases, naval forces and coastal defense systems to further weaken Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian crews," the command said.

At the same time, CENTCOM noted that this wave of strikes began on the same day that US forces resumed the naval blockade of Iranian ports.
