Number of earthquake victims in Venezuela rises almost to 5 thousand.

The number of those killed as a result of two earthquakes at the end of June in Venezuela has risen to 4,930 people, said National Assembly Chairman Jorge Rodriguez.

The number of injured has not changed — 16,740 people were injured. 17,907 people were left without housing. 21,210 people are in temporary accommodation centers.

Earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 occurred in Venezuela on June 24 with a difference of a minute and became the most powerful since 1900. The coastal city of La Guaira near Caracas was hit the hardest.
