In Armenia, a criminal case has been opened against Russian citizen Nadezhda Pirozhkova after she published a video with offensive statements about Armenians.

This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the Investigative Committee.

The blogger, who lives in Yerevan, was doused with water during the recent Vardavar holiday, after which she posted an angry video on social media. Pirozhkova called dousing those who do not want to participate in the holiday a manifestation of aggression and tactlessness. In the "stories" section, she also posted a video showing one of the holiday participants dousing her with water. After that, Pirozhkova called the Armenian people "rat-like" and complained that her clothes were ruined due to the dousing.

After the publication of the videos in the Armenian segment of social networks, the girl began to be actively "hated," and then law enforcement agencies became interested in what happened.

The Investigative Committee clarified that the criminal case was opened under the article on public statements aimed at inciting hatred and discrimination. The preventive measure chosen was a written undertaking not to leave the country.
