Pashinyan: Armenia does not intend to end dialogue with Russia

Armenia does not intend to end its dialogue with Russia and is determined to resolve the issues that have arisen through discussions.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in a conversation with journalists.

"We do not intend to end the dialogue, the partnership discussions. That would be the most mistaken path. We will not take that path," the Armenian prime minister said, commenting on a question related to the Russian restrictive measures.

At the same time, he added that he does not consider the situation that has developed in the country as a result of the Russian restrictions to be a crisis. Pashinyan noted that the Armenian government sees in it the emergence of an opportunity for the diversification of the Armenian economy.

Earlier, the Russian side restricted the import into the country of an entire range of Armenian products — from mineral water and alcoholic beverages to vegetables and fruits — because of violations that had been detected.
