A Serbian government plane has brought home the body of the former commander of the Bosnian Serb army, General Ratko Mladic.
This was reported by Informer Television.
In Belgrade, the coffin, draped in the flags of Serbia and Republika Srpska, was met with an honor guard.
After that, a motorcade took the body to the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade for an autopsy.
The death of the 84-year-old Mladic became known on August 27. In 2017, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) found the general guilty of war crimes during the Bosnian civil war of 1992-1995 and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
