Vučić announces dissolution of Serbia's parliament and early elections

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has approved the decision to dissolve the National Assembly (parliament) and will call early elections.

He said this on the air of Radio Television of Serbia. The president intends to sign the decree on the dissolution of parliament on September 9.

"I have to approve two decisions – the decree on the dissolution of the Assembly and the decree on holding elections. I will make both decisions public tomorrow at noon. The elections will take place on October 25," he said.
