Araghchi: Iran blew the hell out of the 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi commented on statements by acting U.S. Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao about the scale of the damage caused by Iranian strikes on American military facilities in Bahrain.

He wrote about this on the social network X:

"We appreciate the candor of acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao. Our mighty Armed Forces did indeed 'blow the hell out of the 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain,' as well as other bases supporting American aggression."

Earlier, in an interview with the Epoch Times, Cao acknowledged the significant damage inflicted by Iranian forces during the conflict. According to him, due to the destruction at the Naval Support Activity Bahrain facility, which hosts the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet, the crew of the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln has "simply nowhere to go."

Answering a question about restoring the infrastructure, Cao reported that a specially created Pentagon working group is already handling the issue of a large-scale reconstruction of the base after the end of hostilities.
