Abbas Araghchi thanks Azerbaijan for assistance to Iranian pilgrims
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan and several other countries for their assistance to Iranian pilgrims stranded abroad following the outbreak of war in the Middle East.
As reported by Report citing Türkiye Today, he made this statement on Iranian state television.
Araghchi specifically thanked Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia "for their help to Iranian pilgrims stranded abroad during the conflict with the United States and Israel."
As a reminder, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28, carrying out airstrikes on several cities. In response, Iran fired missiles at Israeli territory and also attacked American military bases in the Persian Gulf countries.
