An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 has been recorded in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Crete.

According to data from Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 7 kilometers.

Due to the proximity of the epicenter, tremors were felt in parts of Turkey, particularly in the province of Muğla. Residents of the region reported brief moments of panic, with people leaving buildings and heading to the streets.
