Putin dismisses Primakov from the post of head of Rossotrudnichestvo
Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Yevgeny Primakov from the position of head of the Federal Agency for the Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
By another decree, the Russian leader appointed 37-year-old Igor Chaika, the son of former Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika, to this post. I. Chaika has been the deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo since March 2025, and prior to that, he served as the chairman of the Public Council under this structure for four years.
It should be noted that Y. Primakov had been leading Rossotrudnichestvo since June 2020.
