The handshake between the leaders of China and the US, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, lasted 14 seconds. The White House YouTube channel broadcast the meeting of the two politicians.
It is noted that the American president began greeting the Chinese leader by pulling his hand toward himself, however Xi Jinping did not let him seize the initiative. At first the hands of the leaders of the two countries ended up closer to Trump, but then Xi Jinping evened the position.
At the beginning of negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, US President Donald Trump expressed hope that relations between the two countries have "a wonderful future ahead."
He added that Washington's relations will be better than ever before.
On May 13, Trump's state visit to China began. Famous businessmen arrived in China together with the American leader to try to conclude profitable contracts with the Chinese side. It is expected that the parties will discuss the US war with Iran and relations between Beijing and Moscow.
