Belarus and Azerbaijan plan projects worth $1 billion
Belarus and Azerbaijan plan to implement joint projects with a total value of about $1 billion.
As Report reports, this was stated by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeenko during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
According to him, the Belarusian delegation is participating in the forum on the instructions of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
"The forum is organized at an excellent level. More than 45 thousand people are participating here. This is a large-scale event," Sergeenko noted.
He emphasized that the main goal of international cooperation should be the creation of comfortable living conditions for people.
"The development of bilateral relations with our friendly Azerbaijan is one of our priorities. We are discussing this direction with our partners," the chairman of the House of Representatives stated.
According to him, Belarus also intends to participate in projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
"Undoubtedly, projects are planned on the liberated territories with the participation of the Republic of Belarus," Sergeenko said, noting that the total value of joint projects is about $1 billion.
He added that in bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus "there are no closed topics."
