Iran studies US response to proposal to cease hostilities
Tehran is studying the American side's comments on Iran's proposal to cease military actions. This was announced by Esma'il Bagha'i, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic.
"On the basis of the same 14-point text provided by Iran, messages were exchanged several times; we received a statement of the American side's position and are currently studying it," Bagha'i said, as reported by Nour News agency.
On May 18, Tasnim agency reported that Pakistan transmitted to the US a new Iranian proposal for resolving the conflict, consisting of 14 points. According to its information, the emphasis in the text is on the cessation of military actions and measures to build trust.
