Britain investigates possible sex crimes by ex-prince Andrew

British police are investigating possible sexual crimes by ex-prince Andrew, Sky News reports citing a source.

"Police are investigating Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor regarding possible sexual crimes," the channel's report says.

According to Sky News, British police plan to question a woman who claims she was brought to Andrew's residence in Windsor in 2010 "for sexual purposes." The witness is not a British subject.

According to the channel, British police have already taken statements from many witnesses since Andrew's arrest. Law enforcement is checking Andrew for a range of other crimes, including fraud, corruption and obstruction of justice.

The channel notes that British police want to obtain unredacted copies of files from the United States in the case of the notorious financier Jeffrey Epstein, which could help the investigation.

Andrew was detained at the end of February on charges of abuse of office as a trade representative for sending state documents to Epstein. In early December 2025, King Charles III stripped his brother of all titles.
