Iran's foreign ministry: Tehran and Washington will not sign an agreement anytime soon

Iran and the US are still far from signing a final peace treaty, but at the same time the parties have reached agreement on most issues.

This was stated by Esmaeil Baghaei, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic.

"What is true is that agreement has been reached on most of the issues under discussion, but no one can claim that this means an imminent signing of a truce," Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying.

According to Baghaei, frequent changes in the US position complicate the negotiation process.
