U.S. President Donald Trump claims that the future agreement to end the conflict with Iran will not allow the country to create nuclear weapons.
"This deal (with Iran - ed.) will be the complete opposite of the failed JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action - ed.), ...which was a direct and open path to nuclear weapons for Iran. No, I do not make such deals," Trump wrote on the Truth Social social network.
At the moment, there are no international agreements regulating the functioning of Iran's nuclear program: the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), or the so-called nuclear deal, concluded in 2015 by Great Britain, Germany, China, Russia, the USA, France, and Iran, ceased to be in effect in October 2025.
