Two people injured after drone hits residential building in Romania - photo

A drone crashed into the roof of a 10-story residential building in the Romanian city of Galati.

A fire broke out, and two people were injured, Reuters reports, citing Romanian authorities.

According to the agency, the explosives in the drone detonated. The fire has already been extinguished. The injured received assistance on site. Seventy people were evacuated.

It is noted that the incident was the first case in which a drone hit a densely populated area of Romania and resulted in injuries. Romania's Ministry of Defense reported that it has found drone debris that fell on the country's territory 47 times.
