EU prepares economic aid package for Armenia after elections

The European Union is preparing a package of economic assistance to Armenia after the parliamentary elections held there, said EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.

Kallas stated that the Armenian people "made their clear choice in favor of closer ties with Europe."

"The EU is preparing an economic aid package for Armenia, and we will continue to be their partners," she said.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia took place on June 7, with deputies elected for five years.
