Two servicemen of the Iranian Armed Forces became victims of strikes carried out by the Israeli army on June 8 on the territory of the Islamic Republic.

This was reported by the Iranian state radio and television company.

According to its information, the military served in the air defense forces and died "while performing a mission to protect the airspace" of their country.

On June 6, the Israeli Air Force attacked the Nabatiya province in southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa region, and on June 7 - an object of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah in the suburbs of Beirut. According to the Israeli side, the attacks followed in response to shelling of Israeli territory by supporters of the Shiite organization. On the evening of June 7, Iran, in response to Israel's actions in Lebanon, launched missile strikes on the northern regions of the Jewish state.

On the night of June 8, the Israeli army carried out retaliatory attacks on Iran, the targets of which were named as military facilities in the western and central regions of the country. On the morning of June 8, Iran and Israel exchanged strikes again.
