Iran has decided to close the passage through the Strait of Hormuz for oil tankers and merchant vessels.

As announced at the central headquarters of the military command of the Iranian Armed Forces "Khatam al-Anbiya", this is related to the US attacks. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

The statement emphasizes that the Armed Forces of Iran will attack any vessel that tries to pass through the strait. "Due to the continuation of villainy by the US and in view of the beginning of attacks by their forces on some southern regions of Hormozgan province, from this moment, due to the unstable situation in the region, the Strait of Hormuz is declared closed to the movement of any types of vessels," the message says.
