Stepson of Norway's crown prince sentenced to four years in prison
Stepson of Norway's crown prince Marius Borg Høiby has been sentenced to four years in prison.
This was reported by Reuters, citing the Oslo court.
According to the agency, he was found guilty on two counts of rape and other crimes. Høiby did not plead guilty to the most serious charges, including rape, and may appeal the verdict.
The case against the royal family member began in 2024 and gradually accumulated new episodes.
Høiby denies the charges of sexual violence but admitted during the investigation that he used physical violence against one of the victims under the influence of drugs.
Høiby became a member of the royal family in 2001 when his mother Mette-Marit married Crown Prince Haakon.
