Lavrov: Europe is interested in Russia's defeat in the conflict
Europe is interested in Russia's defeat in the conflict, and one cannot speak with it as with an impartial observer.
This is stated in an article by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov titled "Ukraine, Europe and global security."
"Regarding negotiations, as Russian President Vladimir Putin noted once again at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, we are not refusing contacts with anyone. However, we perceive Europe as a party to the conflict interested in Russia's defeat, and the Europeans themselves openly position themselves that way. Accordingly, dialogue with Europe cannot be built as if it were an impartial outside observer," the minister pointed out.
The article was planned for publication by the European edition of Politico Europe, but at the last moment, at the decision of the editorial board, the publication was canceled.
